Hungerford

We have reached Hungerford on our coast to coast walk. It is lovely here, just like a postcard!

Last night we slept at a place called Stanton St. Bernard where we camped for the night near the beautiful church. We set off early this morning and walked along the canal path. It was raining in the morning and my paws and fur got wet, I didn't like that but luckily it wasn't too cold and when the sun came out in the afternoon, I dried off. My helper's shoes are still wet, I'm glad I don't wear any! I love exploring near the canal path and I especially love the narrow boats. Sometimes I meet other dogs or people who pat me.

At a beautiful place called Great Wentyn, we met a kind man who turned out to be the vicar at St. Mary's church. He showed us round the church, I enjoyed having a good sniff around.

We're in Hungerford now and tonight we plan to sleep under the swing bridge, I'm tired from all the walking so I'll have no trouble dropping off.

Some kind people gave us money for my doggy friends at Battersea today, somebody also gave us £20 on the Just Giving page. This makes all the walking worthwhile!

     Love from,
                                      Lamps.
