We're in the big city and still having a wonderful adventure.
After the Hell's Angels appeared, we left Windsor Castle and walked on until we saw some men in a field playing cricket. My helper likes cricket so we stopped so he could have a chat. While everybody was chatting, I smelled something delicious- bread! I traced it to a big box full of food. Nobody could have wanted it as it was just lying there. Quick as I could, I bolted down four sandwiches before anybody noticed. Then one of the cricketers saw me and we made a sharp exit.
All day we kept on walking. We slept somewhere near Richmond. In the morning, I was still very sleepy and couldn't face walking another 20 miles so I whimpered and told my helper. He said we could have a day off and go sightseeing. We went to an underground station and got an all-day ticket. I love trains, they have comfy seats and interesting smells. All day, we travelled around. People in London much have too much food as it's lying about all over the place. I found loads of tasty treats, especially chips.
By late afternoon, we were at the Victoria and Albert Museum. My helper tied me up just inside the door and went for a look around. I didn't mind as there were lots of funny things to look at and people to pet me. When my helper came back, he found me surrounded by Japanese tourists who were taking my picture. They thought I was part of the exhibition!
We camped last night at Brompton Cemetery. I think we might be heading to the Battersea Cat and Dog Home now to say hello before we resume our walk. It will be nice to meet some of the furry friends I'm raising money for.
Love from,
Lamps.
